Scope and General info
The International Conference “Trends in Spintronics and Nanomagnetism” (TSN-2010) will provide an international forum to discuss recent progress and future trends in the field. In particular we aim at bringing together the community of more conventional spin-transport, with that of molecular and nano-magnetism. The main topics of TSN-2010 are:
| MATERIALS - Molecular Magnets - Magnetic nanoparticles and nanowires - Magnetic semiconductors - Multiferroics and transition metal oxides |
SPIN-PHYSICS AND THEORY - Spin injection - Domain walls, spin torque and vortex dynamics - Numerical modeling of organic nanomagnetism |
| APPLICATIONS - Magnetic Multilayers - Spin-photonics - Molecular and nano-spintronics - Spin-based quantum computation - Magnetism for sensing and nanomedicine |
ADVANCES IN CHARACTERIZATION - Magneto-optical characterization and spin manipulation - Intrinsic spin transport mechanism in organics - Organometallic molecules on surfaces - Single molecular magnets on surfaces - Nanoscale characterization and spin-sensitive SPM |
The conference begins with registration and welcome reception on Sunday 23 May in the evening. The technical programme starts on Monday 24 May and ends in the morning of Thursday 27 May. The programme will feature invited presentations by internationally recognised scientists, among which Albert Fert, Nobel Prize in Physics 2007. The oral presentations and posters will be selected by the Program Committee and the final program will be available in February 2010 on the conference website. We expect 150-200 attendees from around the globe to present their latest research.
